If you do nothing, we will continue to invest based on the standard choices made by your employer. There is nothing wrong with that. It’s the standard for a reason. But why not choose a profile that really matches your situation, with the associated returns? Take the quick and easy test to check which investment risk suits you best.

Your partner for our pension scheme can mean:

  • the person to whom you are married;
  • the person with whom you have a registered partnership;
  • the person with whom you have a cohabitation contract from a civil-law notary.

If none of these options apply to you but you had a shared household with your partner for more than six months, they will be considered your partner under the pension scheme.

Good to know: you will need to prove that you have lived together for more than six months. You do this by providing an extract (proof) from the Personal Records Database (BRP).

Is the person you live with your brother, sister or a blood or relative in the direct line (a parent, parent-in-law, grandparent or child)? If so, the person is not your partner for the purposes of the pension scheme.

You can only have one partner for the pension scheme at any given time.

We update mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl once a quarter. To see your updated pension information, check your personal pension page. This shows the current status on that particular day.

Employees in active employment will receive a UPO each year. We will send this statement by 1 October at the latest in the year after the year that the UPO relates to.

Have you and/or your customer made all of the necessary changes relating to the previous year? Please make sure you do this – preferably as soon as possible after 1 January. Once we have received approval, we will start drawing up the UPOs. We will send the UPOs for all employees in one go and post them on employees' personal pension pages. We will inform them of this by e-mail.

At BeFrank, we conclude contracts with employers that have at least 25 employees. You can request a quote by sending an e-mail to info@befrank.nl.

If your customer has fewer than 25 employees, we cannot send you a quote.

Your employer portal contains the invoices, itemised invoices, the legal documents (such as the pension regulations and administration agreement) and the participants overview.

The participants overview specifies the pensionable salary and pension contribution percentage of your employees.

If you want to make staff changes, you can also do this through your employer portal.

We always send important information about your pension to your e-mail address. It’s useful if you provide us with your personal e-mail address so that we can forward all of the important information to you. Even if you change jobs. You can change your e-mail address on your personal pension page.

In the Netherlands, you accrue pension on part of your salary. On the first part of your salary, you do not accrue pension. We call this the 'contribution-exempt amount'. This amount is set by the government each year and is linked to the State Pension. Your pension contribution is calculated on your salary minus the contribution-exempt amount.

If you earn more than €137,800 gross per year (2024), you will not accrue pension above this amount. This amount is recalculated each year.
