Choose your investment risk

In the first instance, we invest your pension capital according to the risk profile that your employer has chosen as standard. You then decide whether this suits you. Or whether you wish to change the investment risk. The choice is yours. You can choose from five risk profiles:

Very defensive
– You want to take the lowest possible investment risk with your pension capital.
– Your pension may increase slightly but may also decrease slightly.

Defensive
– You want to take a slightly higher investment risk with your pension capital.
– Your pension may increase a little more but may also decrease a little more too.

Neutral
– You want to take an average investment risk with your pension capital.
– Your pension may realise average growth but may realise average losses too.

Offensive
– You want to take a significant investment risk with your pension capital.
– Your pension could realise substantial growth but may also realise substantial losses.

Very offensive
– You want to take the biggest possible investment risk with your pension capital.
– Your pension could realise enormous growth but may also realise enormous losses.

You decide how much investment risk you wish to take
We understand that some people would rather not take that risk with their pension. We use the Profile selector to help you choose a suitable risk profile.

Nothing is set in stone
Whichever choice you make. It’s good to know that nothing is set in stone. You can change your mind as often as you like, just go to your personal pension page.
