BeFrank and Nationale-Nederlanden PPI continue together

Online pension administrator BeFrank and Nationale-Nederlanden’s premium pension institution (PPI) have been operating since 1 July under one banner: BeFrank. BeFrank will continue on the same course and remains committed to clear pensions, straightforward communications and extensive freedom of choice for members.
The combination of both PPIs as a result of the acquisition of parent company Delta Lloyd by NN Group in 2017 was announced last year. Both brands are already among the large players in the PPI market. The new combination is market leader with approximately 170,000 members and 2.5 billion in assets under management.
Online services
BeFrank became the Netherlands’ first premium pension institution in 2011. By providing smart online services, BeFrank is committed to making pensions understandable and clear for everyone in the Netherlands. Existing customers of NN PPI will continue to receive the current services for the duration of the scheme. New proposals will from now on be presented on behalf of BeFrank.
Increasingly greater freedom of choice
‘BeFrank is continuing on the same course following this combination,’ says Jan Hein Rhebergen, Commercial Director of BeFrank. ‘We will, for example, offer our members both a clear pension and convenience and freedom of choice. In line with this, we recently went live with a completely new online environment that makes it easier for everyone to both view and influence their pension. We want to further expand the possible choices for members in the coming months. This also dovetails with the trend of further individualisation and our mission of bringing pensions closer to members.’
Highest score MoneyView
BeFrank’s focus on members is also reflected in the recent publication of financial research agency MoneyView. BeFrank’s ‘Neutral Ambitious Lifecycle’ topped the rankings in the MoneyView ProductRating 2018 in the ‘Employer Costs’ category. Ten pension products were compared for this study. Rhebergen: ‘We have been dedicated to transparent and clear pensions for years. Members see each euro that has been invested. So we’re delighted with this number one position. It once again underscores what we stand for as BeFrank.’
